Why ten copies?

It is 2010.

The novel was published 10 years ago.

Call it portfolio theory or diversification.

Truth is, I think that ten books means ten chances. When you send a book off, who knows the people are going to send back what they promised?

Why not just sell a bunch of them and buy a ticket to space?

There were only about 1000 copies printed. The publisher went bankrupt. I bought some boxes of books from a wholesaler who got the inventory at auction.

Can I buy the book?

Sure – there aren’t that many – but what I have left you can buy here.
